how would you prefer big files to be posted? anyway, if you follow the hacha instructions, there's no reason this won't work.

I hate hatcha and i hate taking 5 secs to do things to since it takes about 5 min and sometimes does not work
This hacha Tori file didn't turnout. I have been successful with other hacha files. But, this one didn't work for some reason. perhaps other users had more luck with this clip.

Use the hatch that was included in the last file. Earlier releases might not work. If you have trouble playing the file, try renaming to a .wmv , Windows Media Player is pretty good at figuring the file type out.

I'm sorry if people cannot use this tool, but I think it is very simple to use it: you just download all the zip files, unzip all of them in a temporary directory and you end up having a bunch of files with the same name and with a progressive number as an extention.
For example, in this thread, you download:
tor21.zip
tor22.zip
tor23.zip
tor24.zip
tor25.zip
You unzip the above mentioned files in a temp directory and end up with:
tor2.mpg.0
tor2.mpg.1
tor2.mpg.2
tor2.mpg.3
tor2.mpg.4
hacha.exe
Then you start the file hacha.exe, in the same temporary directory you unzipped all the other files, by clicking twice on it: the hacha window appears. The writing are in Spanish, but it quite simple:
Cortar -> split files
Pegar -> join files
What you want is to join files, so click on Pegar.
A file chooser dialog appear, already positioned in the temporary directory you unzipped the files.
You just have to select the first file of the ones you unzipped, in this example tor2.mpg.0, then click on Pegar Archivos.
A progress bar fills up and a message tells you the process is ended.
If there are problems joining the files, the program tells you, but in this particular case there wasn't any problem when I tried.
Only one thing: in this particular case the mpg extension didn't work; I simply changed the extension to wmv and it worked. But most of the times you don't have to change anything of the file, once it is rejoined.
If some people don't feel like doing the above mentioned procedure, sorry, you will miss a lot of good stuff, but I strongly hope it won't stop people to post and download splitted files, since in this way I've seen some of the best tickling clips I ever saw.

It worked for me you have yto rename them to .zip remember that.Oh and by the way I'm looking for the clip with these two when they are secreteries in an office. If anyone has that and can post it I'd be very grateful.
Lets put it this way, I dont consider right clicking, save target as, then when its done downloading, open file and watch the damn clip. Thats like heavens way of doing it.
Hatcha..blah!
but the hacha with the tor25.zip does not work!!!
how???
I have tried several times to download these Tori clips on hacha and I was unsuccessful even when using the accompanied hacha icon. I have been able to load other hacha clips. But, this one has been a tough one. Is anyone eles having the same problem or is it my set-up.
Thank you.

I agree with Drago It's easy and I love big files they're longer and the quality is much better. I don't understand how people can complain about something that's better when it's free anyways. This clip is as compressed as possible running at 96Kbps and it is over 11 minutes. Thanks Coolman and ignore these ungrateful whiners. These people should just order the DVD or Video. If you want to see hard try downloading a Movie off of an IRC server and decompress it with WinRar. Good luck

-right-click each zip to your desktop.
create new folder and unzip all files to this new folder. Yes you can name it, fun
unzip the hacha program to this newly created folder. and then run the first file which is numbered the lowest.
It's simple and damn well worth it. You don't need to be a graduate of
MIT, or CalTech to figure this out. a few minutes out of the hours spent at your computer is not much to do.

Hi I hate hacha too because you put the best files with this format and to me is not good to post it in this way please try to do something
Thanks
isn't there a separate area for the hacha downloads? please all, observe that and no one will complain

This way of downloading clips seems to get about a 50/50 reaction as to what it's worth. It's either a snap to do and that half of the people can't understand what all the fuss is for or it's a pain in the butt to use for the other half and not worth the hassle to use. I am a member of the 50% that's in the in the latter group and I totally agree with them.

Look at date of post, when this clip was posted wouldn't exist "the splits" forum (many people speak without read). Besides the poster said clearly splitted with hacha, so anybody who don't want use this tool, simply go ahead into next thread.

hacha is a paina ina thea assa!
Windows media is the best as far as the majority is concerned, myself included.
Your effort is appreciated however for posting clips but when it is an "effort" to load, it becomes a waste of time trying.

I avoided Hacha for some time. It was simple to learn. Though as I fortunately have access to high-speed internet from time to time it makes it worth while. If you don't like the clip and have to download by dial-up, it.. is no good. Bigger files for the most part mean longer and better quality clips. Not to name names, but some posts of clips are just a few seconds and would be better off for all if the postings were still-pics. It's the same difference and would would save on server space, downloading, bandwidth and such.

I think the main objection is that any "split" files are to be placed in "The Splits" forum
bubba9
12-18-2004, 11:49 PM
some people do not read. This clip was originally posted here before the splits section existed. I'll also defend Hacha, though I have never used it. Hacha is not a format, it is a program to split large files. Clips split with hacha may be .wmv format, .rm, .mpeg, or something else. The reason for using hacha or any split program is that this forum only allows 2 MB for each file you attach. If a clip is larger than 2 MB, it must be split into smaller files to be posted here.
Capeche?
Read and learn. Buy some space and let people post larger clips there without hacha, or suck it up and deal.

Tru actually I thought it was a pain before. Now I find it really easy to use. Set up two folders one for splits and one for unzipped splits. When you double click the file in splits have the unzipped splits folder open and just move it into there. Once they are all unzipped just pop them together and voila its a file. Good luck.

If you are not willing to use hacha, then why do you look in the splits forum? If you would just stay out of the forum, then you wouldn't get frustrated. Anyway, hacha is easier to use than just about any other utility I've seen. It's not our fault you refuse to learn and grow with the rest of the world, so why make us suffer through your stubborn litany of anguish and frustration? I mean no offense by these comments, but it just seems like common sense. If you don't want to use hacha, don't. You do not need to attack others for using it; that is just plain rude.

you're an idiot, hacha is 78KB...there's no excuse to complain. If it were in the MB's, MAYBE it would be a problem, but you're talking about saving less than a second by eliminating hacha which would have to be found everytime you needed it, I'm glad it's usually included. There are 2 buttons in hacha, granted it's spanish, but there's not MANY options, you have a 50-50 chance of getting it to work. If it's truely a hassle, you're either not trying, or bringing back to my opening statement
you're an idiot
Just use 7zip, winrar or winace and have it split the files into numbered zips or rars. It's as simple as right clicking on the file you want to split and selecting create archive and for the user to right click one, and have it automagically unzip and join once they have all the files.
